Hambridge, Lilian
Full name - Lilian Rose Adelaide Hambridge (formerly Hemmens) born on 29 July 1884 to Julia and Jacob Hemmens of Bratton Road, Westbury. I understand she grew up in Weymouth and am interested to find out about her life there. I believe she lived at 'Lambourn' Glendinning Avenue, Weymouth, Dorset but this is just hearsay. Hart, Joseph
I am looking for info on Joseph Hart that was supposed to have left England one year short of a Dr.'s degree in Medicine and came to Canada. He was born abt. 1842 and married Sarah Emiline Stares in Brooklyn, Newfoundland on Nov. 16, 1874. Looking for any details of John Hart, Alfred Edward Langdown Hart and ? Hart, all brothers from Poole or thereabouts, perhaps Wimborne.  Particularly the 3rd brother whose name I don't know who was involved in the Cod trade and may have moved to Newfoundland.  Dates of birth around 1860 roughly. Hayball, May Isabel
We are searching for any information regarding May Isabel Hayball (1883-1938), or her father Charles Robert Hayball (1832-1919). Charles R Hayball was a Land Agent (estate agent) at Ashley Cross Lower Parkstone around 1900 = 1901 census they were living at Montague House, St Peters Rd. May Isabel was married in 1907 to William Walter Hilliar (Poole Builders) - there seems to be strong connections between Hayball's and Hilliars re the building of St Osmunds Church.They had a daugher in 1910 called Roma Pardey Hilliar. May and William's marriage broke down and they were divorced (?) around 1920's - May then went to London with a Bricklayer called Stephen Jelliman and had a daughter in 1926.[ Lita Thorne ]

MAISIE HECKFORD (ALSO KNOWN AS MAISIE COBB OR MAISIE VANE)SISTER OF VIOLET MAY HECKFORD. Maisie was born in 1913, Violet in 1911. Family living in Lychett Minster, Corfe Mullen and Poole. Any Hectors from Dorset. [ Andrew Hector ]

James Hector was christened on 29 December 1828 at Misterton Parish Church, Somerset.  He married Annie whitlock christened on 10 May 1829 at Vernham's Dean Hampshire they married on 13 October 1849 in the Parish Church of Kintbury, Nr Hungerford, Berkshire,and had 12 children most of them being born in Morden, Dorset as that is where the family settled.  James and Annie are my Great Grandparents and I would love to hear from anyone who knows anything about the family. I have just found out that my father died in Poole Dorset around 1985 . His name was Harold Wilfred HEPPEL. Whether he was widowed or not I don't know but my mum's name was Ada Beatrice née GILES. Any information regarding William Walter Hilliar and what happened re the breakup of his marriage to May Isabel Hayball around 1920. We do not know why their marriage failed - we suspect May was having an affair with a man called Stephen Jelliman. May and William must have got divorced which would have been a bit of a scandal !! Hindy (Hendy)
Looking for the missing link to establish the origin of the family Hindy(supposedly changed from actual Hendy 1841 by mistake on government docs) links in the West Country,Poole, Dorest, Devonshire.

Current info only goes as far back as the first known male born on the North American side named Joshua Hindy Born 1796-1879 in Scilly cove (now Winterton) Newfoundland who was the son of Elizabeth George, unconfirmed first born Hindy generation in Newfoundland. Apparently his father was a sea captain or sailor on the cross atlantic route. Joshua hindy was a fisherman, had 5 sons and those make up the now two Hindy families of today. Any help would be appreciated.

Hiscock Family born Poole Dorset circa 1837 including George, wife Charlotte and children Mary E, George R, Lavinia E, EDWIN S HISCOCK (DOES S STAND FOR STEPHEN?) BORN 1866 TO 1874. Henry Hiscock states on his land grant petition in Nova Scotia that he was born 1773 Wimborne DORSET, near POOLE. Served Royal Navy 1784(cabin boy?)to 1802. I find a 1773 marriage in Wimborne of a Henry Hiscock to Mary Burden. Not sure if these are his parents. Can you help ? [ Daniel Hiscoe]

Holmes, Annie Lydia
Looking for information on Annie Holmes born in 1888 possibly in Isle of Sheppy - definately in Kent. (Her name could have been Ann Elydia). Mother to George (Holmes), Tom (Rider) and Dennis (Robbins). Her death, 27/02/40 aged 52, was registered as Annie Robbins in March, Isle of Ely. I am researching the Howe family of Dorest. Thomas Howe, son of Thomas Howe and Mary Ann Loveless, was born on 7 June 1860 in Kezworth, Wareham. It is believed that he left England from Poole at the age of 17 years around 1877, probably with the Garland family, and moved to Newfoundland. Thomas' parents are both buried in Studland.
