I am trying to find relatives of Edward Keith Galloway who lived at 18 Twemlow Avenue, Parkstone in the 1980's.  I believe he was married to Emily and had a daughter, Vivien.  Edward Keith is the son of the late Edward (Ted) Galloway of Broadstone who was my great-uncle.  I'd love to hear from anyone who might be able to help me trace this family. Edward Evan Gambier moved to Poole in about 1900. Was landlord of Kings Head in High Street Poole and then owed the coffee house Market Street. He was also on Poole Council. [ Sonia Gambier ]

Elizabeth Grady, born about 1818 in Poole; married Edward Thomas Galton before 1838.  They had 7 children all born in Poole.  In order they are James, Edward, Ellen, William Catherine, Louisa and Eliza.  She was a widow on Mariner's Welfare at the 1851 census.

He was born in approx 1857 in Poole. He married an Elizabeth in the June quarter of 1890.He died in 1927. I think that his wife was born in the same year. His occupation just stated an engineer. Who was married to Bertram Charles Darby. I am not sure on births or marriage dates but they had approx 13 children.The family lived in Buckland Newton Dorset where Bert was a farm labourer. One of the children named Mary died very young and could be buried in Holy Rood Buckland Newton. At some point moved to the Shenley-Radlett area where Bert was killed in a tractor accident can anyone help with info? [ Mary Gosling ]

I am a Greenslade myself and I am very interested in the history of the name and of my family, most notably, William 'Bill' Greenslade, who is my grandfathers grandfather. Not so long ago, my grandfather attended a small photographic display at a church in Poole, in which he saw a photograph of his grandfather. I'm having a lot of trouble tracking down anyone that can help me find this image or indeed any information about William Greenslade. The only imformation I have or know of is he was a boxer, champion of dorset and was born in the late 1800's, around 1885 I believe

Samuel Griffin B. 1842/3 Nether Compton. Sailed for United States in 1873. Is there any information on ship records? I believe, but not sure, the name of the ship was the San Jacinto, departed from Liverpool on March 24, 1873. He married in England to Mary Bartlett, in Yeovil and they had a child, Bessie, in October of 1870. Have located Samuel and his family in the Census of 1841 and 1861 of Nether Compton. We are hoping to visit your area next summer and have started making plans. This would be basically a genealogy trip as one of my ancestors in the early 1800s was James Guy a blacksmith in Slades Basin, Poole. The problem is that no one seems to have heard of Slades Basin. Has this been renamed to something else??? Appreciate any help you can give on this.
