Summer Breeze on the Quay . Every Thursday night people are guaranteed a great nights entertainment including live music, BBQ's and fireworks. Click here for more information.

Rockley Park Quay For My Car . Every Friday night from 6pm is "Quay for my car" night, where collections of different vehicles gather along Poole Quay each Friday. Click here for more information.

 

Special Events

Sunday 1 June 2008 - Poole Festival of Running

Poole Park

Races for all ages and abilities….

  • Starting at 10am is the Minithons (ages 8 to 14)
  • This is followed by Jog for Julia's , a 5k charity Fun Run for entrants aged 15 and over – open to ALL runners including club runners.
  • 2pm is the Young Athletes (15-17's) 5k race (for club runners) and the Poole 10k (for athletics club members or regular runners aged over 18).

Poole Lions Club will hold a Charity Fayre in Poole Park throughout the day with a variety of stalls and entertainment for all the family.

This year's charity is Poole-based Julia's House - the first children's hospice in Dorset that cares for life-limited and life-threatened children throughout Dorset, the majority of whom are not expected to live into adulthood. Julia's House sponsorship forms will be available to all runners.

Coles Miller Solicitors and Condor Ferries are kindly sponsoring the 2008 event.

Friday 6 June - Sunday 8 June 2008 - Dorset Garden Show

Canford Park Arena

This years show moves back to mid summer. This will allow visitors to shop for bedding plants as well as the usual 250 stands on show with knowledgeable exhibitors on hand to give helpful advice, pots & conservatories, water features, decking and lots lots more.

Cycling Treasure Hunt from 10.00am - 12.30pm- free entry

Approx distance 7 miles on a circular traffic free route.

"Be it known that there will be a great gathering of pirates on Poole Quay on 21st June to honour the memory of Arry Paye, the renowned Poole Pirate, the scourge of the Spanish past the wold of the English Channel and supplier of captured French wine to the port of Poole."

Poole's biggest free boating and watersports event. Throughout the day people will be able to enjoy a showcase of boats and watersports accessories. 'Try a boat' sessions and entertainment on Poole Quay.

 

 

 


Saturday 21 - Sunday 22 June 2008 - Bournemouth and Poole Steam Rally

Canford Park Arena

Bournemouth & Poole Preservation Club Ltd present the 5th Annual Steam Rally at Canford Park Arena.

B.P.P.C are pleased to announce the return of their annual event at the purpose built Canford Park Arena. This rally is organised by volunteers committed to raising funds for nominated and local charities, whilst providing a fun and entertaining day out. This show is now well established for the 5th year at Canford with increasing attendance.

Scheduled for 2008 will be:-
more working steam engines - stationary engines - fair organs - arena displays - vintage vehicles - craft and models - catering - licensed bar with entertainment - trade stalls - bands - helicopter rides - Air ambulance fly in (Sunday) - shire horses (Sunday)

Seniors £3
accompanied children under 15 FREE
