Walks start daily Monday - Saturday at 11.30am and 2pm, lasting 1 and 1/4 hours.

Tuesday 2 July 2013 - Swanage Railway Cream Tea Special

Swanage Railway, Station House, Swanage, BH19 1HB

Enjoy a luxurious cream tea whilst travelling through the Purbeck countryside on board the Wessex Belle dining train.  The one hour trips depart from Swanage Station at 14:25 and are simply the best way to see Dorset's rolling hills. Advance booking advised.

The matches are fast and furious, and the extra-large orange ball, designed not to get lost in the sand, flies around at speeds of up to 100mph..

Polo played in an enclosed arena has been referred to as ˜Ice Hockey on Horse Back. Spectators are close to the action “ they can fully appreciate the horsemanship, speed and gladiatorial nature of Polo. The polo ponies love the sand - they can accelerate and stop fast and can turn extremely sharply. The thrill and excitement of horses galloping on the sand with the English Channel as a backdrop, whilst sipping champagne amongst glamorous company, is a vision to remember “ an intoxicating mix. Polo players engage with the sponsors and spectators both on and off the pitch.

Wednesday 24 July - Friday 2 August 2013 - Brownsea Open Air Theatre - A Midsummer Night's Dream

Theseus, Duke of Athens, and Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons are to be married and great celebrations are planned.

Egeus brings his rebellious daughter Hermia in front of the Duke. Egeus wants her to marry Demetrius but Hermia is refusing, because she's in love with Lysander. The Duke orders Hermia to obey her father or, according to Athenian law, she must face a death penalty or enter a convent.

Hermia and Lysander decide to elope that night. They confide in their friend Helena. However, she's secretly in love with Demetrius so, hoping to win his affection, she tells him of Hermia's plan. That night, all four lovers set out into the forest.

Thursday 25 July 2013 - Summer Breeze with Fireworks on the Quay

Summer Breeze on the QuaySummer Breeze on the Quay takes place on Thursday 25th July and then every Thursday in August on Poole Quay from 7pm. The event welcomes thousands of revellers who enjoy live music, street entertainment, family activities, special themed nights and a fantastic fireworks finale at 10 pm.
