Storm Fish Restaurant
Pete Miles has been a fisherman since 1989, opening Storm Fish Restaurant, in Poole, with his wife Frances – in 1999. Storm is the only restaurant in Poole and Bournemouth for which the owner catches his own fish. If he doesn't catch the fish, he knows a man who can!
Pete and Frances ensure that Storm's menu changes daily, according to the fresh fish available. Inside Storm, the interior is rustic, with wooden tables and old ceiling-hanging fishing lamps, providing an intimate, cosy ambience. Along with a great selection of local fish and shellfish, there are other dishes from around the world, plus meat and vegetarian options. You will find all home-made desserts; if you really can't choose just one, you can opt for a piggy's platter – perfect for sharing (or not!).
Along with fishing and running a busy restaurant, Pete also grows his own vegetables and uses them in the restaurant during the spring/summer months and is a keen beekeeper, winning first prize with his honey last year at the county shows. Pete is a keen environmentalist and supports sustainable fishing.
