The Canteen
The Canteen is a bright restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere serving modern British food. Typical menu items are slow roast pork belly with bubble and squeak and a red wine/tamarind sauce; peppered venison fillet with creamed savoy cabbage and chocolate sauce; rhubarb trio (warm tart, jelly and rhubarb and rose sorbet). Everything - even ice creams and breads - are homemade. Wines are very affordable and very quaffable.
As well as the a la carte menu there is an eight course tasting menu (reservations only) available on Friday and Saturday evenings.
